WDW reveals Disney Park Pass system dates

Written by: James Williams

Among many announcements from Disney today, one of the biggest is the Disney Park Pass system reveal. This is how guests will go about making their park reservations, something new Disney is doing to help maintain crowd capacity in each park.

Here are some of the most important things you’ll need to know!
  • You are going to need a My Disney Experience account. Chances are you probably already have one if you’re looking to travel soon, but if not go ahead and download the free app on your phone.
  • Make sure your tickets, for your entire party, is linked to your MDE account.
  • If you have a resort reservation, make sure it is linked to MDE as well.
Once you have completed all of the above, you will be all set for the next step.... but you’ll have to wait. Here’s the dates we all need to remember...

  • June 22, 2020- Guests with reservations at a Disney resort or other select hotels will be able to make their park reservations, with valid park admission that is. This includes ticket holders and Annual Passholders.
  • June 26, 2020- All AP holders will be able to make park reservations.
  • June 28, 2020- Guests with valid park admission that are not staying on property will be able to make park reservations.
The Park Pass System will open at 7:00 a.m. Eastern(6:00 a.m. Central) on Monday June 22.

Rider Switch

Written by: James Williams     Unfortunately, there are times that a guest may not be able to or want to ride a ride while others in the group do.  That's no problem because Disney has put in the "Rider Switch System" to make it easier for everyone to do the attractions they want.        Rider Switch is such a great tool if you have guests that may be too short, or maybe the ride is just a little too intimidating for them.  Please keep in mind that height requirements are put into place for the safety of the guest! If you are looking for a list of these requirements, check out our  Height Requirement  article. If a child does not meet the height requirement or a Guest does not wish to board a particular attraction, no problem! With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the wait...

Rise of the Resistance

Written by: James Williams As we continue to get used to our "current normal", as I like to call it, at Walt Disney World there are still some questions about Rise of the Resistance.  Rise of the Resistance(RotR) is found at Disney's Hollywood Studio's in Galaxy's Edge.  If you have not experienced the virtual queue, or boarding pass, for RotR then this is a must read! Boarding Passes are not automatically given, you must be in the park in order to get your pass.  The first thing you need to make sure to have is the My Disney Experience(MDE) app on your phone.    This is the only way to secure a Boarding Pass.  Disney's Hollywood Studios is currently opening at 10:00 am, so you will want to make sure you are in the park before this time!  Everyone in your party must have already scanned their ticket and entered the park, this is a very important thing to remember as MDE will not let you select family/friends linked to your account without them i...
