Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2020

Written by: James Williams

Unfortunately, late last night, we received the news from Disney that all party dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party are officially canceled.  We know that this was not an easy decision for Disney to make, but they are trying to do what is best for guests and cast members alike.

This was a tough pill to swallow, especially for me, since we had tickets to go to our first MNSSHP this year! Now that I have taken a step back and thought about it, would it have even been worth it? We already know that parades, fireworks, and character meet and greets are canceled right? Isn't that some of the main things that make the parties so special? I can't lie, I was holding out hope that Disney would find a way to make the party happen, I mean with limited availability for the parties it wouldn't have been that huge of an issue to extend the parade route so that we could social distance ourselves right? Wishful thinking, I know.

We are still awaiting word about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which usually starts early November, but no dates have been released yet.  Disney is playing this one by ear, and I am glad they are.  Nobody knows what the future holds right now, with this whole COVID mess right? We are all hoping for the best but I have full faith in Disney to make the decision that is best for all of us!

Rider Switch

Written by: James Williams     Unfortunately, there are times that a guest may not be able to or want to ride a ride while others in the group do.  That's no problem because Disney has put in the "Rider Switch System" to make it easier for everyone to do the attractions they want.        Rider Switch is such a great tool if you have guests that may be too short, or maybe the ride is just a little too intimidating for them.  Please keep in mind that height requirements are put into place for the safety of the guest! If you are looking for a list of these requirements, check out our  Height Requirement  article. If a child does not meet the height requirement or a Guest does not wish to board a particular attraction, no problem! With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the wait...

Mask concerns?

Written by James Williams One of the big concerns everyone has had with this years travel to Walt Disney World has been MASKS! It’s the talk of the world right? I’m not going to lie, we have this same concern. Why wouldn’t we? It’s hot and humid in Florida, we aren’t use to having something over our faces in such conditions and we all know kids won’t cooperate!  Well, here’s what we decided to do... TRAIN! We all know how much preparation goes into a Walt Disney World vacation. Most of us don’t walk that much in a single day at home(although we need to get better about this). Our crazy hyperactive boys definitely wont cooperate with masks at all right? I mean, we’ve just kept them at home and took them to certain places(typically outside) so that they’ve been able to stay safe and healthy. My job even allows me to stay away from people so I don’t have to wear a mask.  Well, today we started training with the boys, and I must say, it has went WAY better than expected! As of rig...
