Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2020

Unfortunately, late last night, we received the news from Disney that all party dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party are officially canceled. We know that this was not an easy decision for Disney to make, but they are trying to do what is best for guests and cast members alike.

This was a tough pill to swallow, especially for me, since we had tickets to go to our first MNSSHP this year! Now that I have taken a step back and thought about it, would it have even been worth it? We already know that parades, fireworks, and character meet and greets are canceled right? Isn't that some of the main things that make the parties so special? I can't lie, I was holding out hope that Disney would find a way to make the party happen, I mean with limited availability for the parties it wouldn't have been that huge of an issue to extend the parade route so that we could social distance ourselves right? Wishful thinking, I know.

We are still awaiting word about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which usually starts early November, but no dates have been released yet. Disney is playing this one by ear, and I am glad they are. Nobody knows what the future holds right now, with this whole COVID mess right? We are all hoping for the best but I have full faith in Disney to make the decision that is best for all of us!

Changes to Park hours

Disney made an announcement today regarding park hours for Walt Disney World. Three parks at Walt Disney World will be shortened an hour while the fourth is going to be shortened by two hours! Check them out below. •Magic Kingdom – 9am to 6pm (previously closed at 7pm) •Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 10am to 7pm (previously closed at 8pm) •Disney’s Animal Kingdom – 8am to 5pm (previously closed at 6pm) •EPCOT – 11am to 7pm (previously closed at 9pm) Park openings will continue to be staggered but, beginning October 1, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT will both close at 7:00 pm. The hours have been staggered to help with social distancing in transportation. Keep in mind that this is subject to change!
